Koblenz is considered the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Surrounded by 4 beautiful upland regions, the city is situated on the banks of two world-famous rivers – the Rhine and the Moselle. Woods, lakes and meadows account for a mild and very agreeable climate and cover two-thirds of the city’s total area. 2,000 years of historical heritage are on display at the city’s numerous excellent museums. The city’s famous sights attract visitors from all over the world.
